Join us for the Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert 2009, a fitting climax to the Edinburgh International Festival.

 

Don’t miss exhilarating music from the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Chorus, accompanied by a dramatic choreographed fireworks display above Edinburgh Castle. Why not join thousands of people around the city for a magical evening of live music and pyrotechnic wizardry?

 

With Princes Street unavailable this year we have enhanced other viewing areas to make sure you hear the wonderful music and get a great view of this year’s event.

Inverleith Park - Bank of Scotland Family Viewing Area

Enjoy one of the greatest views of the fireworks in the city, a great FREE alternative to Princes Street Gardens. Not only do you have one of the most impressive views of the Edinburgh skyline and the stunning fireworks, you will also enjoy a live broadcast of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra’s performance. A big screen and amplified sound are broadcast live from the Ross Theatre so you’re guaranteed not to miss a note. Bring along a picnic or enjoy some of the tasty treats that will be on sale in Inverleith Park on the night.

 

Calton Hill

New for this year – live broadcast of the concert to speakers around the top of the hill! Now you can enjoy not just the iconic view but amplified sound direct from the Ross Theatre where the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Chorus work their magic. Enter via Carriage Drive or Royal Terrace.

 

Waverley Bridge

Close to the action, and this year with live broadcast of the concert, you get an excellent view of the fireworks from Waverley Bridge to the east of Princes Street Gardens. Get there early for the best viewing spots.

• Enter via West End Gate, King’s Stables Road, or Floral Clock Entrance [see the map]

• Disabled Parking for ticket holders is available at King’s Stables Road
