Poetry in Motion is a one day event on this Saturday 2 May; it is part of ‘Show Scotland', Museums and Galleries Scotland Big Events Weekend over the May Bank holiday.
This ‘treasure-trail' has prizes to be won! The answers to questions about the statues and monuments can be found along the way. It provides an inspiring poetic interpretation of Edinburgh's monumental legacy
The trail highlights the Twelve Monuments project, a collaboration between the City of Edinburgh Council and Edinburgh World Heritage.
At certain points along the trail there will be poetry recitals and storytelling performed at key locations.
There are two 11 am starting points:
St. Bernard's Well on the Water of Leith, near Stockbridge and the National Monument on Calton Hill (see image).
