Venue Description

The Holyrood Tavern is a small, friendly, busy venue. The studio room is at the rear of the building with a small stage and an intimate atmosphere. It is ideal for comedy, sketch shows, music, film and plays with a minimal set and cast.

Area/Location Description

The Holyrood Tavern is ideally situated, just of the Royal Mile and between The Pleasance and Cowgate, two of the most popular venues at the fringe.

Disabled Access Information

There is easy wheelchair access and we encourage guide dogs. We have had interpretors for the deaf for some shows. This can be arranged, either by request or through the individual productions. There are no disabled toilets in the venue, but assistance is allways to hand and there are some facilities closeby. The venue has hosted several disabled performers in previous years as well as audience members.
