Venue Description
The National Gallery of Scotland, oldest of the five galleries, is situated in the heart of Edinburgh on The Mound, between the ancient Old Town and the Georgian New Town. The gallery is home to Scotland's greatest collection of European Art from Renaissance to Post-Impressionism, including masterpieces by Titian, Raphael, Rembrandt and Poussin. It is one of the most prestigious settings in Edinburgh for evening events. We can accommodate up to 600 guests for a cocktail reception and up to 180 for a dinner in this magnificent gallery.
What sets us apart from other venues is the unique opportunity for guests to enjoy an exclusive private view of the gallery's magnificent art collection, with our expert Curator on hand to welcome guests and give them a Talk about the collection of art hung in these beautiful gallery rooms. Hearing interesting stories of history of the gallery and fascinating insights into some of the key masterpieces really does bring the art alive and makes for a truly memorable event.
