Featuring more than 100 acts from Edinburgh and beyond, it's the ideal time to catch an emerging performer in an intimate venue. Alternatively, if you're after something wilder, kick up your heels, leave your inhibitions behind, and make some shapes on the dancefloor with the very best ceilidh bands.Top of the bill this year are some of the most exciting female vocalists from the world of British folk music, including Kate Rusby, Laura Marling and critically acclaimed Edinburgh singer/songwriter Kim Edgar. Irish folk legend Paul Brady makes a rare appearance at a gig in the Queens Hall while the electrifying Jimi Shandrix Experience - one of Scotland's best ceilidh bands - promise an unforgettable evening of dancing and craic.
But it's not just about the music. This year, Ceilidh Culture has its very own street fair. Head on down to Castle Street from 2- 5 April and visit a bonanza of stalls with food and drink, crafts, fashion and music, all celebrating the very best of Scotland.
