Fall in Love with Recycling at our Waste Education Cabin St Valentine's Day event

Drop in on our Family Day on Saturday 13 February from 11am - 3pm at Seafield Community Recycling Centre, Fillyside Road, Edinburgh EH7 6RD.

Our resource centre is the perfect place to learn about the journey that waste goes on, and what we can do to reduce, reuse and recycle.  The cabin is normally only open by appointment, but this year we're opening our doors so you can just drop in during one of our Family Days.

You will be able to discover what happens to your recycled materials, find out what bugs and beasties love to live in the compost heap, have a guided tour of Edinburgh's biggest recycling centre, and take part in Reduce, Reuse, Recycle competitions and activities. It's an educational and fun outing for all the family!

In Edinburgh, we are recycling more and more of our waste each year through the red and blue box kerbside collections, on-street facilities and at our Community Recycling Centres. The range of materials you can recycle is increasing all the time - did you know you can donate furniture and other good quality items to the Reuse Cabin at the Community Recycling Centres?
