City of Edinburgh Museums and Galleries invite you to visit our new hands-on Family Activity Area in Museum of Edinburgh, on the historic Royal Mile.

Visits are FREE. Also sample our imaginative workshop programme for families.

The home of the Museum of Edinburgh is picturesque Huntly House, which faces on to the Canongate and dates from the 16th century. The Museum of Edinburgh is home to important collections relating to the history of Edinburgh, from prehistoric times to the present day.

The new activity area acts as a base from which you can explore the rest of the museum. There's lots to do in our new area.
