Event Details
Surgeons' Hall Museums offers you the chance to discover the world of 19th Century Edinburgh. On Christmas Eve 1828, William Burke stood accused of Edinburgh's most notorious serial murders. What led to these events and to the involvement of one of Edinburgh's most successful anatomists of the time? On our special tour of Surgeons' Hall you will explore the collections for which Robert Knox himself once cared, discover the importance of anatomical dissection and Edinburgh in the progression of European medicine; and learn of the circumstances which influenced Britain's first anatomy act.
The tours will run from 13th - 17th December and will be bookable for groups of between 10 - 20 people, tickets are £5 per person and places for your group must be booked in advance.
