The Festival of Sport is back for 2012. Taking place from 1^st - 14^th September this year, the festival invites sports clubs and organisations to showcase the many wonderful opportunities that are available to local people.

The Festival of Sport is a great opportunity for clubs to showcase what they're about, increase their membership and attract new volunteers. Taking place this year just after the London 2012 Olympics and during the Paralympic Games, this year's Festival presents a unique opportunity to capture the interest generated by the Games to get people involved.

Following the success of the event in Edinburgh, the Festival expanded to neighbouring local authorities as part of the sportscotland's Legacy priority for the area. We are delighted that the Festival of Sport has achieved the London 2012 Inspire Mark. This award recognises on the very best development projects that have been inspired by the Games.
